F. Schmidt is a professional, high quality line of musical instruments, especially made for today’s market. Historically, all original instrument designs and manufacturing techniques were developed through out the ages in the classical European sector.
These instruments are now being produced in new state-of-the-art factories. All F. Schmidt instruments represent a combination of the best in European traditional craftsmanship and state of the art technology, resulting in an even response with minimal resistance. This allows the musician to perform with greater ease.
The PKT101S Pocket trumpet is designed for those who want a compact, fully functional trumpet with the same length of tubing as a standard B♭ trumpet but wound more tightly into a smaller, more portable shape. It’s designed to be used for several practical and musical purposes:
Practice and travel: Small and light, easy for students and pros to practice anywhere or pack for travel.
Warm-ups and technique: Used for daily warm-ups, lip exercises, and keeping embouchure and finger coordination between rehearsals or gigs.
Performance and effects: Used for unique tone or visual flair in jazz, world music, theater, or studio work. Tone is similar to a regular trumpet but often a bit brighter, tighter, or less full, depending on construction and mouthpiece.
Quiet practice: With a mute, they let you practice more quietly at home.
Collecting and novelty: Their compact look and portability make them popular with collectors and hobbyists.
This trumpet is easy to play, has a beautiful tone and excellent intonation. The one piece bell gives it an agile, quick response with a beautiful tone.
