The Shure BLX288/B58 is a professional-quality sound dual wireless handheld microphone system with up to 14 hours of battery life for legendary audio performance ideal for two vocalists right out the box. The package includes the compact, lightweight BLX88 dual‑channel tabletop receiver with internal antennas, making it especially convenient for portable use.
The BLX288/B58 also includes two handheld transmitters each equipped with the legendary BETA58A cardioid dynamic capsule, an industry standard for vocalists and announcers. The receiver features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection to quickly search 123 available frequencies and locate a clean RF channel in case of interference. The system provides up to 14 hours of continuous use with four AA batteries, at a range up to 300'. Up to 12 mic channels can operate simultaneously in each frequency band.
This streamlined system is well suited for live performances and events in small venues, wedding halls, and houses of worship as well as conference, educational, and corporate facilities.
BETA58A Mic Capsules Optimized for Vocals and Speech - The SM58’s dynamic capsule uses a super-cardioid polar pattern and provides high gain before feedback, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and minimum off-axis tone coloration. It is designed for close-up vocals, and can be handheld or mounted on a stand (using the supplied adjustable stand adapter). The Beta 58A can withstand rough handling, featuring a hardened steel mesh grille, and an advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes mechanical noise and vibration. The microphone system includes a 5/8" to 3/8" thread adapter, making it compatible with most microphone stands.
Lightweight Handheld Transmitters - The rugged BLX2 handheld transmitters combine a lightweight, ergonomic shape for comfortable handling with intuitive group- and channel-selection buttons for fast, simple frequency matching with the receiver. Additional features include a conveniently placed power switch, adjustable gain control, and a black ID cap. An optional WA621 Color ID Caps kit of assorted colored caps is available.
