"As a percussionist deeply rooted in the Afro-Cuban tradition, I’ve always believed that true instruments carry the voice of the culture that created them. The Toca Traditional Series is one of the few modern, mass-produced congas and bongos that truly honors that lineage.
Their bold simplicity and elegant design echo the essence of the original Cuban tumbadora — instruments that weren’t made to impress with flash, but to speak with soul. Each drum in this series carries that unmistakable warmth, depth, and presence that can only be found in the drums born from the island’s rhythm.
For me, playing these instruments is more than performance — it’s a dialogue between the past and the present, between tradition and modern craftsmanship. The Toca Traditional Series reminds us that authenticity isn’t lost in time; it’s kept alive in sound, in hands, and in heart."
